Now that broadband is onboard, I can fully enjoy Google Earth. Fun program. :)

P.S.- The airport is my home airport, Alexandria (N85)

I've always wished Google Earth could be tied into FS9.  That's be really slick.

You are an F-15. Your record in combat is spotless; you've never been defeated. You possess good looks, but are not flashy about it. You prefer to let your reputation do the talking

Google earth is truly amazing, it drove my brothers and cousins nuts when I showed them an aerial picture of their buildings and homes.

They were like "Where did you get that"  :o ! That's freaky!

I've always wished Google Earth could be tied into FS9.  That's be really slick.

Remember that Google Earth and VFR Photographic Scenery are just FLAT 2-dimensional photographs.
You really wouldn't want them to replace the default Autogen, and downloaded 3-D scenery...trust me... :o...!!

If you landed in 2-D scenery, everything would be FLAT for as far as the eye can see...no buildings, no ground AI aircraft, no bridges, no trees, no nothing.....
...just a flat photograph laid over undulating scenery mesh...

Fine at 2000+ feet AGL....REALLY NAFF on the ground... ;D...!

Cheers all...!

Paul...(threw my Photographic VFR Scenery away years ago, ....back to Autogen)... ;)...!

I'm sure it could be tied into FS9, but that's what I was getting at.  It's not 3d, so you'd have a flat Google Earth. :(  Googe Earth CAN impose some buildings into 3D in more built up areas, but it still wouldn't be like autogen.

;D ;D ;D
It can be tied into FS9.  There is a program, I saw it awhile ago and will try to find it again, since I found it quite by accident but never downloaded it.  But it's out there, and can be used with Flight Simulator.  How, I am not sure, but this individual was using it.

And here it is:

Found here on SimV/Utilities/Page 6 which links to the same link above

Cheers
