Zapp's Impala

Postby killerbunny » Mon Sep 12, 2005 8:35 am

The next trainer I'm testing : the Atlas Impala MkI.

Taking off from Hoedespruit AB in South Afrika.  It's not exactly good flying weather : lots of clouds, lots of wind, lots of lightning, lots of rain .....  and lots of fun ;D

Image

Coming up above the clouds, things look much better up here.

Image Now its time to "fly her brains out" (many thanks to Zapp Brannigan for this lovely quote ;D)

Making some loops...

She is handling just fine :)

Showing off in the setting sun 8)

Heading back into the clouds, looking for the runway

Image

Not the easiest landing, but all went well

Image

They should put a shelter here, everything's getting wet inside >:(

Hope you liked this series.   Dont know yet whats coming up next, I ran out of trainers.  Well, we'll see later   ;)

Actually the Atlas Impala is a license-built Aermacchi mb326, built by South Africa.  They used it as a jet-aviation trainer and formation aerobatics aircraft.
