unpack the rutan_boomerang.CAB file (delete the CAB once it is unpacked so FS9 finds the right files) to a folder called rutan_boomerang in your gauges folder. This will speed up the panel loading a little
That did the trick!
The plane no longer crashes, or freeze when I start!
I flew the plane a bit to watch for a crash (didn't happen). I even shut down one of the engines to try it out, handled a lot like the Lancair Legacy: sensitive, needs a gentle hand...but smooth when you get the sweet spot!
Adrian Esdaile...thank you so much for getting back to me, and for posting here!
Okay, now there are a couple of things...I am posting here to see if anyone else has noticed this...
I cannot manually tune the COM or NAV radios, whereas I can tune the ADF and OBS with the radio knob (making VOR a bit impossible...) Anyone else notice that?
Any Ideas?
The last bit (not really big at all), is that the AP only intializes in the air...for some reason I can't get it to start on the ground.
I'll try unpacking the rest of the CAB files and see if that helps...they are in my C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\Rutan_Boomerang\panel folder and not my C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\gauge folder, so if anyone tries the unpacking trick in the gauge folder and it crashes, move it to the panel folder...
Sorry one last thing, does the VC light up at night, or just the gauges (just wondering if I missed something during installation)...
Thanks again!
