Edit: I know poutine has been around for a while, but a friend told me... shhh.. you can get maple syrup poured all over it and have it sprinkled with sour kraut.

It has to be eaten very hot, once it cools down, it becomes a stinking lump of cold grease. :P



Although I've had an inclination towards 'crunchy' fried foods, soggy or excessively greasy is not at all good. I've usually par-broiled meats, which I should avoid, anyway, so that the fats/grease could be more easily drained off (usually some left behind, though).
My native ancestors poured maple syrup on clean snowballs... with saur kraut and a greasy hodgepodge? No thank you.8-)
