Catch the Bus...

Postby RollerBall » Thu Jul 22, 2004 7:27 am

So many pics of the kiddies toys in this bit of the forum just lately (  :P ) thought I'd redress the balance a bit with a few pics of what I think is still the best Airbus around, Project Airbus's A320

This is BA's A320-211 G-BUSG

It looks good, flies great still in FS9, has got all the bits on that you could want and is still FR friendly.

Well done PA!

VC? Panel?

Whaaaaaat? ;)

PA were the first to create the Super VC and theirs is still one of the very, very best

Image

The gauges are black  *****EDIT***** NOT NOW .....SEE POST BELOW because I don't use their panel that comes with the plane - it's a mod'd 737 panel which just doesn't do it for me.

I use what I think is still the best A320 panel bar none - Roy Chaffins 2002 version that I've mod'd and updated to suit what I want and to work in FS9.

Image

I just tried Hector Molina's but it hung and crashed my sim (errr never a good feature for any download) and personally I can't stand panels which have drop-downs that obscure your view and have 'pretend' switch sequences. Sorry life's too short to read 'manuals' and play pretend pilots! Done that.

Where did you get that BA paint? I love the PA A320, but have been looking for a BA paint for ever!

Thanks all

It's my own repaint - don't do any aircraft now though. When I did it just after PA started there was a 'no repaints' rule and I didn't get permission to upload. The model is so good I made sure that it's one of the most accurate I've done.

But I see now they are allowing repaints of liveries they haven't done themselves, so if I can get round to it I'll see about uploading it.

BTW I did the same paint job using the same basic textures on Mike Stone's A300 Airbus so there is a version out there.

YESSSSIRRREEEEE!!

Just take a look now. Because I didn't use the PA panel I hadn't copied over the VC gauges. They give detailed instructions on how to make the VC work with any panel - so there you go.

This is a great plane that I hadn't flown for some time and I'm really glad I went back to it
