Time for a rest at Winnemucca after that long first leg. Had a bit of breakfast. Southwest style eggs in true Navada fashion hit the spot. The wind and turbulance had died down so I figured, time to get the Moth back up in the air for leg 2. I filled up with Avgas and tookoff from Winnemucca en route to Elko.
Leg 2 was quite dull. Near radio silence for the whole 169km flight. A soft wind at my back pushed my plane at a steady 84 knots.
These were the last hills I met for miles.

Looks like something out of Lawrence of Arabia. Very hot in the Navada desert. Good thing I was a cool 8000ft up and wore plenty of sun screen.

I was making record time. That wind shaved 20 minutes off my trip. Elko airport insight. Your cleared to land.

I think I'll rest here until tomorrow. I've still got a long journey ahead.
