The call of the Lion King

Postby Omag 2.0 » Thu Jul 01, 2004 2:31 pm

... Following Staiduks adventure i was called upon another trip too.

I just want to widen my FS-horizons by VFR-crossing a continent we don't see a lot off around here ... Africa.

My ambitious plan is to cross the whole of it, back to Europe, starting from South-Africa. I would like to do it in classic planes... Still not sure weather to stick with one type or not.

Anyhow, here's my first flight from Overberg to Robertson, 2 small airfields about 30 minutes from eachother...

I took the Beechcraft Twin Bonanza - JoJo.

Take-off at dawn over this magnificent country...

Starting the engines and powering up...

Taking her up, together with the rising sun...

Climbing towards 6.000 ft...

The sun is a welcome sight, cause want to go VFR...

Passing a gorgeous mountainrange...

On final at Robertson, this lady behaves perfectly... a true piece of art...

Shutting down, ready for some last testing before doing some serious flights...
