On my way (don't know were I'm going) 2

Postby jordonj » Sun Jun 20, 2004 9:24 pm

After a nap, I was itching to get flying again (somewhere around 11:00 pm)
I had better luck getting night shots this time around...

Image

After another LOOONG taxi, I finally make it from A to A6, runway 36

Image

For it being so late at night, traffic seems to be rather heavy.  Here, I am holding short for a Baron on final (not easy to see, but she's in the upper left corner)

Image

And taking off.  The tower gave me clearance to take off.  Just after I taxied into position, they gave clearance to a Piper Cherokee to land there (I hate it when they do that!)  Needless to say, I was rather in a hurry to get airborne...

Image

I just had to add this shot of Oshkosh at night...

Image

And now climbing through 8000 feet (going for 11000).  Can't remember where I was when I took this...

Image

By the time I got to Dubuque Iowa (KDBQ, Dubuque Regional.  I had my hands full just staying awake to land.  I do have these 2 shots though...

After that, I just concentrated on getting the plane parked and finding a place to crash (sleep that is).

There's the river project and some nice homes to see here.  I also here there's places to camp (I may do that too!).

Till next time...

Only owls, bats and fools fly at night... fortunately I'm a fool. Think I might try a bit of celestial navigation myself ;D
