Bringing my girlfriend home today

Postby Steve_Butka » Wed Jun 09, 2004 8:30 pm

:-[  Yes, today was a sad day.  My girlfriend went back home to Rochester and I probably won't get to go up and visit her until July or August because I learned yesterday that I have a hernia and need to have surgery.  Oh well...

Anyway, I always like to fly this route anytime I go up to see her, ro she comes to see me.  It really is very similar to the real thing-- this game really IS scary!

Here are the pics. =]

Waving goodbye to JFK Intl.'s 4L!

Well they sure got the city ait right in this game! here we are over New York City on a beautiful 90-degree afternoon and there's a smog-filled cloud!!! (That's LaGuardia Airport in there, too)

Relatively boring but relaxing flight, here I am on final to Rochester's 4L. (yes, same runway #)

I'm getting tired of perfect touchdowns-- I want to see some smoke!!!!!  ;D

Hope you all liked, but I really do miss my girlfriend.  Gonna marry that girl, someday.  ;)

Haha, thanks.  I was a single man for a very long time. Then I found this girl completely by chance-- ileave west point, choose Marist College on a whim to stay close to the area, and there she is-- in my orchestra.  And we're so very alike that it's chilling.  Maybe I'll post some pictrues of her sometime, we actually looked related.  ;D

Ah...seeing the city from the air always gives me the chills...even if it is in FS.  In my view, there's nothing quite like looking down at Central PArk from 5,000 feet.

Was a hot one in the city today...

Nice shots Steve, I hope you and your lady are reunited as soon as possible, and the quacks fix the damage ;)

I've been to Rochester right near the airport.  That approach is something.  The runway lights actually cross over a highway, much like Princess Juliana(not as extreme, but similar)

I have a good friend who's going to the UK in August for a year. I think she's going to Manchester. Even though she's not my 'girlfriend', she's still a good friend of mine and i'm still going to miss her a lot :(

btw, nice shots ;)
