I have a screenshots program that takes 2shots/second for me. And during a thunderstorm chances are pretty big you'll catch a lightning  ;)

great shots love the plane :) :)
as for the lightning there's a simple trick to capture as many flashes as you wish...for screen shot purposes that is..
just bump your sim rate up to about 8x speed and press pause
a couple of times and there you go ;)
