Having fun with a Thruster...!

Postby Fozzer » Thu Jun 03, 2004 12:34 pm

Hi all...!

FS 2002 Pro.
Everything maxed.....Nice...!

While you lot out there are all rushing around in Jumbo 747's, terrifying the passengers.... :o...!
..or falling out of the sky in your blazing Me 109's... :'(...!
...your old mate Fozzer is quite happy chuffing around sunny California in his brand-new Thruster Sprint.. 8)...!
The joy of economical flying..!
..a bit slow... ::)...?
...but who's in a hurry anyway... ;D...!

Warming up that lovely 4-cylinder Rotax/Jabiru motor at Byron Lake....
...being admired by all the on-lookers...(The Thruster, as well as me)... ;)...!

Image

Strapped-in, getting ready for a take-off...in just a few yards...!
..it's like being catapulted into the air... :o...!

Image

Just look at all that lovely chrome, will need the "shades"... 8)...!
...I love "shiney"...!

Image

Airbourne, heading for Livermore, (KLVK).
Waving to all the people down below...as you do... :)...!

Image

Drool over this fantastic 3D view...! (The 2D one is pretty cool as well...)!
(Note: The 3D views reduce the frame-rates by 50%...Mine drops from 30 FPS, (locked), to 15 FPS. Still OK tho'..)..!

Image

Up amongst the clouds...!
I quite like this little aeroplane...Like a moustache, it grows on you...LOL..!

Cheers all... ;D...!
A special thanks to Mark, (Ozzy), for pointing me to this download yesterday.. 8)...!
...and grateful thanks to the programmers for an EXCELLENT freeware program... ;D...!!

Paul.

Wonderful Paul :)

Glad you are having fun...it would seem more and more folks are looking for more economical aircraft to fly these days.  With the price of fuel to-day the Cessna 172 and the Cessna 150s along with many other manufactured light aircraft are being overlooked.  Many pilots are looking at ultralights and powered gliders here.
Would you be able to tell me what ultrlights and small engines like the Thruster Sprint and the Rotax engine are designed and built in Great Britain?
I have been looking at the Volmer-Jensen VJ-22 as a project to build and still awaiting more info from an American Club on that project.
Will agree with you there is nothing like flying low and slow with no particular place to go :).  I would compare it to driving a motorcycle to a tractor-trailer.

Thanks for posting that.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Hi Doug... ;D...!
Glad you like my new baby... ;D...!
Microlights/Ultralights, and Flexwings are very popular over here, and appear regularly at my local airfield.... :)...!
The only "affordable" way to fly now... 8)...!
We have quite a few manufacturers and builders over here... :)...!

Try this for one of the many popular manufacturers...>>

Cheers Doug...Take care...!
