My new system shots

Postby Steve_Butka » Sun May 30, 2004 10:52 pm

First, I'd like t say:  If anyone has a radeon 9800XT and knows how to tweak it's settings for the best possible quality in FS9, please let me know.

Now on with the pictures. :)

Unfortunately, my first new picture set will be without running commentary. When I was about 20 miles out of Heathrow, my foot slipped and turned off my surge protector-- I guess that teaches me to save, even on those "short hops".

On with the show....

My girlfriend is making a 2 week trip to Europe with her Fashion class at school in preparation for her Spring 2005 semester in London.  Currently they are in Paris, and will then go to Antwerp.  They will then fly BMI back to Heathrow for the ride back to Kennedy Intl (she got to ride in a Virgin 747 on the way over-- i'm so jealous!)  These pics portray the return flight to London.

Just out of EBAW- Deurne Airport, Antwerp, Belgium.

Climbing to FL245 and approaching the DET VOR.

Image
Over the channel-- You can see England and Belgium at FL245 easily, but this is just the stock water texture with the rising sun's rays beating on it.

Image
18 miles outside of Heathrow having just passed Gatwick on the other side. A look back at the sunrise.

Man, I wish I could've landed her without shutting my system down!!  :-/  Maybe next time!

Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw room for improvement in the settings....thanks as always Nex.

Steve, they're definitely an excellent base for your shots, but if you make the tweaks Nex suggested, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. ;)
Great edit, Bob.
