Extrication and Medivac

Postby Scottler » Sat May 15, 2004 1:02 am

Got dispatched to a nasty motor vehicle accident in Beulah, Florida earlier this evening.  The male passenger had been partially ejected from the vehicle and our assistance was required to extricate the patient and transport him to Pensacola Naval Hospital.

(Note:  This isn't the most advanced scenery in the world, but it looked like a fun one to try...definitely worth it!  What it lacks in visual quality it MORE than makes up for in challenge!)

Cool! Isn't that bad! Makes the sim feel a bit more like the real world!

It's a helicopter landing zone bundle by Charlie Young.  It can be found at http://www.simviation.com/files/1scenery/bdfr1.ZIP

This is just one mission in this bundle, as well.  Charlie has gone and set up all sorts of landing zones throughout Beulah, which is a few miles northwest of Pensacola.

Amazingly, you really got a sense of that as the scene first came into view....all you could see were little cars all over the road.

Like I said, it was no Boston Logan, but it was definitely very good....I'd recommend it.

Hmm...lemme try to remember...

Okay...if you take off from Pensacola Regional Airport (I think that's the name of it...it's KPNS) and fly northwest, on the horizon you'll see a large radio antenna.

Thanks, Hyperion.  I found it.  There are so many great parts of it.  I did a search here  on "Charlie Young" (author) and got some great stuff that adds on to it in the same vicinity.

Perhaps I'll go learn about liquid scenery...
Thanks for posting all this.  I've got a whole new hilo playground!
