Postby Smoke2much » Fri May 07, 2004 6:19 am

I have been having some fun with the .dat files in CFS2 and I thought I would share some of the results:

You can write what you like in the Program File/Microsoft Games/CFS2/INFO/outcome.dat file and the outcome changes.  It's worth a laugh in quick combat.

Thanks for the comments.  This is the part I replaced:

"death_string.0"=You stupid muppet.  You were not supposed to do that!
"death_string.1"=I thought you said you could fly this thing!
"death_string.2"=I'm sorry to say that you are the worst pilot EVER
"death_string.3"=I'm sorry to tell you that there is a very good chance that they will be speaking Japanese in Washington in the very near future.
"death_string.4"=I said break left, not break down...
"death_string.5"=I imagine that hurt more than just your pride.
"death_string.6"=Whoops, try to avoid the big blue wobbly thing and the big solid green thing.
"death_string.7"=I'm sorry to have to tell you that your loved one has died from being a complete and utter pillock.  He will not be missed.
