You'll have to ask Dr. Shoe on the German, but nice shooting ;)

Great shots codered, nice bit of hunting there too.

Heres a few tips, the best way to dog fight is to use a lighter aircraft with alot of engine power and firepower, like the tempest, spitfire, and BF-109. I'm not saying the P-47 is bad, but you just sometimes can't keep up with the bandit in tight turns, and the FW-190 is just plainly underpowered, stalls on me when my AOA reaches 10 degrees (It had once stalled on me when I was in a 50 degree dive, but that might have been a glitch in the game).

And if someone gets on your tail, then just (This will take some skill) go into a 90 degree dive, you will have to decide when, based on your starting alt, pull out of it, many times the bandit on your six will either follow you and then crash or just move on.

P.S. I don't take German, I take Latin.

That first mission you were in is the one that you had to kill the American P-47 Ace right? ;D

CFS3 was great but I could never get it to run smoothly on my FX5200. Funny thing is it ran fine on my GF2 MX400. I only recently figured out that this was due to strong compatability with my ECS K7S5A mobo. Will have to try it again once I get my Athlon64 system.

One point. The Tempest is not a light aircraft. It is however the best dogfighter in the game. 2400hp more than makes up for the weight. In the Tempest, if someone gets on your arse, straight down is not the way to go if you fight at the altitudes I do, more sensible is to pull up and engage WEP. You will out run him easily. Either that or go into a shallow dive and open up the throttle.

The best advice though, stay on his tail. If your behind he there is no way he's going to shoot you. Also, when fighting jets, try to get them as they pull out of a dive or loop. And try to hit an engine. Once they're on one engine they can only fly straight and level leaving you to sidle up behind them and give them both barrels. ;D

Oh, yeah about the jets, never go head on with them, cuz if they get you, even with only one round, your dead, those 30mms are nasty. So try to get them from their 6 O'clock high side, if your aircraft is powerful enough and your dive steep enough, you should go about the same speed as them. And like wood said, the engines are their weak points, so take advantage of that.

And don't dogfight at low alt like wood, one wrong move your dead, I used get below 300' agl all the time, and keep on smacking into trees, not fun.

And if a jet get on your tail, just bank sharply, they can't keep up, and if they do, look at them as their aircraft breaks into pieces from the Gs. ;D
