Armstrong Wellesley MKI

Postby lemoncat » Sat Apr 17, 2004 2:52 pm

the wellesley mk1 very interesting bird used in the middle east in the early 30s i think..
never considered for home base use but later used by the raf for long range development..it ended up breaking the world distance record in the late 30s flying over 7000mls in 48hrs.
a record that stood for 8 years..
great model and fantastic to fly this one with a nice vc too ;D

Again, fantastic. One small point though. The Wellesley was a Vickers-Armstrong design. Not just Armstrong. ;)
Notice how it sounds better with Vickers at the front. ;D
