Amazing, but I don't like the black nose, it doesn't suit the plane IMHO.

Yep,but I haven't been to SPeyer since...umm...2002 or so. And I still gotta pay the Tu-144 and Concorde a visit in Sinsheim.

Well, just as avionics have made great strides, so has aircraft paint!

Back in the day, the color black was one of the colors that didn't require lead to prevent the color from fading. Why is this so important? It is because the wx radar signals from the radome would be somewhat "blocked" by the lead in the color. So by using a black lead-free color they avoided that problem

Nowadays the aircrafts can have any color on the nose without disturbing the radar.
