Not knowing much about Huey's, but i'm sure they wern't powerful enough to lift tanks... Jeeps maybe but not tanks.

And is this a Fightsim of a FPS? Cause it will have to do better than that to beat Vietcong as a first person shooter.

This is both. Battlefield: 1942 was a big hit, as a mostly mutliplayer game that allowed you to both fight and drive... In BF1942, you could fly Val's and Dauntlesses, and drive jeeps and tanks and such, and also fight for either axis or allies... They had battles from Europe, the Pacific, and Africa... BF:Vietnam is just a continuation of that, only in Vietnam. ;)

yeah woody, you are absolutely right.     uh-1h hueys, having only a single turbine,  would not be able to lift a tank.

That tank is a M551-Sheridan light tank and weighs about 17 tons.  Now I may be wrong but I don't think a UH-1 could lift anywhere near that.  For me, that just blew any possiblity of my buying that game.  If it's that unrealistic, then it can't be too 'on' about anything else...

An UH-1 couldn't lift any of the tanks in that game, but hey...it's supposed to be a fun game, not an ultra-realistic 'nam simulation.

Shall I post some pics of the "real" game later?

But the best thing about BF:V is still the soundtrack. CCR,Jefferson Airplane,The Kinks, and -of course- Wagner. ;D

Unless I miss my guess, Flyboy was showing how realistic this game is.  Aside from that, this is not a Duke Nukem kind of superman game.  This kind of game is supposed to pride itself on accuracy.

But according to the developers, fun is more important than accuracy. The only accurate things in that game are the graphics and the sounds. Nothing more, nothing less. Since this is a multiplayer game, the gameplay was made "unrealistic" in order to get a better balance between the North Vietnamese and the US forces. ::)

Or do you think that a F-4 carrying 16 napalm bombs is realistic? Or a soldier standing (!) in the jungle and shooting a VC (300ft away from him) with a M-60 (!) ?
