new repaint!

hey guys thought i would share this one with ya....this is my first repaint that i plan to upload and took me hours to do so please leave feedback good or bad on how i can improve it and wether i should upload it or not.. thanx and enjoy. btw it uses reflective textures which i am getting used to as i go along

ps sorry about the quality of the screenshots she does look more clearer in the sim

cheers i know that lufthansa aint the hardest livery there is but wanted to start off easy and work way up. i have missed the logo from the front i will add that soon and get permission to upload it. thanx to sga for this superb aircraft as well!!!

Hey Daz,
She looks pretty good.

You'll want to swap out those metal engines with some gray ones (you could color the white ones I put in my PanAm A300.)

Other than that, she looks good.

What version of my paintkit did you use?  I use PSP 8 with pretty good results.

i used your continental livery and used photoshop 7 for the editing i still havent got to grips with layers and stuff im a newbie to aircraft repainting but that will come with time. one thing you will notice that is not shown on the screenshots are the lufthansa logo and lettering has no alpha channel on it making it stand out more in the light which looks pretty cool.

i will change engines and add the logo then upload it

i will find a livery that has not been done on this bird and that will be next on my list

have a question for yas...how do you add mips to an aircraft? i hope to add mips to this aircraft so she is more clear at certain angles..

Hey Daz,
Actually, adding mips will make the plane blurry at certain angles.

You can either use imagetool or dxtbmp to add/remove mips.  I use dxtbmp, its much easier.

ah i got it and she is looking sweet now. these shots are at 800 x 600 resolution but at 1200 x 960 she looks awesome almost photo realistic IMHO. thanks for the help guys and thanks to whoever designed this aircraft in such a way that it was easier to paint rather than having 6 billion texture files
