Have you pulled a Homer on us? :-/

where did you get that cobra from ? ;D

If it is the FS2002 version what did you do to the FS9 CFG or the aircrafts CFG file to get it to work in FS9! :(

Don't you guys watch DISCOVERY WINGS channel. The RAH66-Comanche is slated for full deployment in 2006, right now they are still testing it.

Dont you watch CNN?  Just kiddin'  Anyway maybe Discovery isnt talkin to CNN, they just said it again a few mins ago, The Commanche project is cancelled but now its 7 Billion Buckeroos instead of 6 Billion.  And they are upgrading the blades, finally,  on the Apache.

Cheers

Never mind, I found a AH-1Z King Cobra payware helicopter that looks like it would kick the crap out of the freeware version!

Have you pulled a Homer on us? :-/

;D Ok sorry guys! :-[  I haven't been online for the last day or so-  I will try to address all of the issues that have come up in the post!! ;) :)

Ok first off, you can get it at FS2002.com- just search for "Cobra" ;D
It is for FS2002, but i don't know if it works in FS9

I hope you can see all the other pics- it turns out i was over the fliesize limit with a normal 600x800 format :P

Also, the Comanche project has been cancelled- trust me, I live in Connecticut, where it was scheduled to be built.  However, some politicians are trying to get it back on track ;)

Thanks for the comments!! ;D ;D :P

dude, I knew it because I tried to install that very same helicopter to FS9 and it was totally incompatible with the program!

This is the thing, the cobra (KING COBRA) I presented into your thread is FS9 compatible, even though I have to cough up $33 US for it including s/h. I am doing it because this is my favorite helicopter like the F14 is my favorite fighter jet! I think the load out and the different skins is a plus to arm it the way you like! Then to boot I am going to add the IB_rocket program to it so that I can watch her actually shoot rockets at targets! How cool would that be!

The poor Comanche, if she is scrapped it would be a shame, because she looked and flew like a beauty, we know the government is using all those money on the Mars program. They are crazy they want to move forward without taking tiny steps first!

Freeware is great, but there are some payware out there that is worth buying. What is a few bucks to get exactly what you want, without waiting for a free hand out! lol

Besides everything in the world aint free! One day someone might get pissed off at freeware and say ok they had it good for too long, its time to make em pay for my work! The budget aint getting any better and as Microsoft advances the graphics of these planes, people aren't going to want to release freebies as often.

The proof stands in how many freewares are available for  FS9 right now of great quality at that. We saw more great downloads for Fs2002 everyday. Is someone taking note how once in a while a really good download comes out. It started with Kirks F16 to Jeffs F14 interms of details. These two planes I would have paid to get! Because they put a lot of detail in them!

The whole point of freeware is to make cool things such as scenery and planes for the flightsimming community to enjoy and not expect anything in return except for appreciation and gratitude.  The whole reason designers release freeware addons is because they enjoy designing and so that people can enjoy their work without charging them for it.  Not everyone is out to make a profit you know ;)....

For example, Mike Stone; he creates incredible planes http://www.pmstone.com that could be payware very easily, but aren't--

Not everyone has $30 to spare for a single helicopter when you can get a great quality one for free ::)

Ok Man truce, I got nothing against Freeware and never did. I chose this payware because it was what I wanted (the twin turbine, full load out display version of the Huey Cobra)

So don't hate on payware neither becuse some of them are really good! Like this one! and I paid $20 not $30! lol

Nice shots of a lovely chopper, but I'm tighter than a ducks bottom, it takes a lot of effort to get me to part with my wedge, unless its for chocolate, beer or parts for my Spit ;D
