Peggy lifted off the runway with ease and after gaining a little altitute, banked left and started back down the coast.
It wasn't as far to Gibraltar as I had previously thought. In fact I could see it and Africa. Up in the sky the clouds had cleared out for the night and the sun was stinking fast.
Gibraltar was all green, what a sight for sore eyes! But when i got there, all I found was an Air Force base, and i couldn't get permission to land there.
Across the strait, the northern coast of Morocco was also very green and beautiful, and I figured, "What the hell?"
So I flew across the the strait and landed at a little airport in a little town called Tetouan.
Peggy again smoked and screamed on the runway, but not as hard. So it wasn't the empty fuel tanks.

I taxied to parking, shut her down, and tied her down for the night.
It was 6 o' clock and the sun was nearing the horizon. It had taken me eight hours to fly from Paris France to Tetoan Morocco, and the people inside the terminal wanted to hear all about it.

Next I'm going to try for Tripoli, Libya.
And heres the last few legs:
