Postby jase_alpha » Mon Feb 09, 2004 9:20 pm

When i was flying from LA to Auckalnd over the pacific i looked at the ocean and noticed there was an area that was a different color to the rest. It isn,t an island as it followed me along for the journey. Any ideas on why or what happened???

That s part of the FS world.  Its the rendering of the world around you, so what you are seeing is the boundary of where FS no longer renders the scenery at a certain level.  To test this, get into top-down view mode (from the menu selection) and back the view up.

Did this and I think I saw what you were talking about. Is there away to extend this rendering area for screenshots??

Cheers

Yeah, in the sim, just go to settings, display and then check extended terrain textures box somewhere on the menu, careful though cause this will have an effect on frame rates.  8)
