Reverse thrusters

I didn't realise that reverse thrusters had such detail until I looked, The ones on the airbus are pretty cool.

reverse the way the air through a turbine works, effectively pushing the aircraft in the opposite direction- ie pushing hot air out the front and cooling it at the back.. i think.

in any case they aid to slow a bird down.

Dan gottit right, In simple terms for me to understand, they kick out air forwards instead of backwards to slow it down, only works on the runway. Some birds have parachutes instead of reverse thrusters, like the shuttle.

Do you mean the same as in they are both identical shots?  Look closely at the engines on each . . .

A part of the engine slides back and acts as an revesre thruster.

Don't know, found it here on SimV, My Dad was after the model, took him through installing it, lol. And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
