Although I much prefer My playground, CYXX Abbotsford. Once Abby get's its runway 07/25 extended to 10,000 feet, Boundary bay will look like a miniature CYXX. I've done a lot of flying into boundary bay, and tower always asks me to report the "gas station"; what gas station?????

That's funny you know about that!!! The gas station is on the circuit approach from the east. It is a very visible landmark off the side of hwy 99 near the Delta Airpark.

I love ZBB, but you're right YXX is great. Abby has some of the widest runways I've ever landed my little 152 at. When I was learning and first soloed to YXX, it was right after the airshow on a Monday. I was warned to watch out for "trap cables" near the runway threshold. I guess they were for some of the big jets, but talk about making me even more nervous!!(haha)
