Youve got to love it when this happens

Postby Triple_7 » Tue Jan 27, 2004 11:10 am

Well I had another day off from school due to the weather.  So I decided to take a short flight from Fort Wayne to Detroit in an AA 717-200.

This has to be the best aproch Ive had in awhile.  Perfectly lined up with the runnway and about 2 miles out :)

Less than half a mile to go, the fuel runs out, and I'm to slow to stay in the air >:(

Well so much for that perfect landing ::)  Runnway was only a couple hundred feet away >:(

you can refuel by pressing ctrl x....not very realistic, but it'll help you get to where you need to go so you can practice those landings.

nice pics, btw.

Well I dont think it would have made a difference.  I was only 500 ft. above the ground when the engines quit.  I didnt have many options right then.  I didnt even know they had quit till it was to late :'(  I know I had packed enough fuel.  And it said something about reserves ???

Oh well I can always try it again when I get my new system Thursday ;D

The moral of the story... don't push the range of your aircraft to its extreme :)

That's got to be hard on the pocket book when you have to refund all those seats?
