PZL 24....

Postby codered » Sun Jan 11, 2004 3:12 am

Here is a great vintage aircraft I found at avsim.com.  The only thing I added to it was differential breaking and smoke.  Other than that this beautiful aircraft comes with all the goodies, plus it comes in two paint schemes... bare metal and camo.  It says it was intended for FS2002, but flies really well in FS9.  If you like to fly around in the vintage style aircraft... If you enjoy making your way from airport to airport with nothing but a compass, this is the aircraft for you.  Check it out. ;D

Interesting thing, when I rolled the aircraft upside down and flew that way, the engine RPMs dropped drastically.  Must be a gravity feed engine, and I was starving it of much needed fuel to keep the power up.

One thing to keep in mind with these old tail draggers... Don't come in too hot, or you flip when standing on brakes, like I did hear...  Brake action is a bit on the sensitive side....

Very impressive shots! To bad about the brakes, look like that runway will be out of use for a while ...  ;D

Nice, I think I'll take a look at that. And yup the gravity feed engine causes it to start dying in a roll. Enders new H1-B has the same problem ;D Screenies of that later today ;)

Ahhhh, good 'ol Polish engineering.

These slightly out-dated gems shot down many Bf-109's and were respected by the German pilots.

ps. Ofcourse by many I mean alot for such an aircraft  ;) .

that 4th shot of the cokpit makes me think of a sci fi movie where you are piloting a beetle of some kind and the wing cover shells are extended. Look out for RAID!  ;D
