Cutty Sark

Postby Politically Incorrect » Wed Jan 07, 2004 6:17 am

I downloaded the Cutty Sark and even though it is made for 2002 it works great in FS9!!
You can fly it or just cruise the waters! And it is beautiful!!
The Broom was fun but this is incredible!!

The only problem is when sailing the ship looks like it is steaming, I think it is suppose to be wake but it just goes up in the air like pretty smoke!! I'll post a screenshot today to show what I'm talking about.
At the designers site he mentions getting some water FX for the wake, don't know if this will solve the problem or if the problem exists because it is a 2002 model and needs some tweaking?
I'll let you know what happens!!

So I be wrong then. Not the first time. Anyway, I didn't say she had more than three masts. I just thought she did. Anyhoo, if we are going to go on about beautiful boats, then I suggest a topic needs opening in general discussion. ;D

In retro spect I must point out that the bow on the model seems a bit squashed. As in not prominent and curved enough. :P ;)

Try the water effects form the HMS Endeavor at this site.

Where did you get the Cutty? I tried a search here and it wouldn't even pull up this thread.

maybe there were two different ships with the same name. or there had been a cutty sark I and II (newer model).

No. It was not the done thing then to name things like that. Once a name was used you could not reuse it by putting II on the end. You had to find another name. ;)
