Because when the runway is contaminated with snow or ice you should stay off the brakes as much as possible and use reverse thrust if the Aircraft has reversers fitted.

So that's why Boeing recomends autobrakes set at 2 or 3 instead of 1, or manual braking at full when the runway is slippery?

This is'nt a Boeing, Not all Aircraft are fitted with autobrakes so if its slippy and you slam on the brakes on a snowy runway in a Aircraft without Autobrakes you will lock the wheels it works in the same sort of way as a car with or without ABS Braking.

I didnt say it didnt have them did I? I Said not all Aircraft. However I dont see the point you are trying to make? Just because a Aircraft has something fitted they dont always use it, It could be in-op for any number of reasons!
