Look what I found. This is default FS2004 scenery, it is huge above and below ground (+ and - 30,000'!), and it doesn't exist in FS2002. Try to find it. Slew low and slow over the holes... Use top-down view... It is near a very small airport but away from any city or village, in a very desolated area. They speak English there.

Welcome to SimV Fern! Nice pic, I've been there. Bit of a glitch in the coding I think. Someone put a 1 where they should have put a 0 ;)

Here's your other pic.

WOW

I think one of the FS programmers is secretly a Lord Of The Rings fanatic

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Maybe they can fill in the giant hole in Arkansas with that thing. I couldn't believe the size of that hole when I flew over it.

Actually, there's a hole right next to it (you can just barely see it on the left in the second shot) that is the same shape and height. Seems they just inverted the shape and lofted it onto the surface.

I don't think that thing fits that hole. If it's inverted there wouldn't be a hole. You would just see the spike.

I had seen the shots of this place before but I never decided to go and see it for myself-until now. I took the Extra 300S and went down into the hole. I managed to fly to a depth of about -105,000 feet or so until I hit the bottom. When I did, the game began to glictch a little and my plane then rose out of the river near the hole-I was above ground again. Interesting experience!
