screenshot quality

I have a question: How come you all post those amazing screenshots, and i don't seem to be able to do that?

I take my shots as bmp files, turn them into jpg's, resize them from 1600 x 1200 to 800 x 600, and adjust the compressionrate to meet the 100 Kb requirements off ths forum.

But my shots seem to be a little blurry.

Any suggestions?

resize the bmp, not the jpg.
convert to jpg afterwards

I suggest getting a program that saves your shots originally as jpgs. But there you go, we all have our own ways of doing things ;D

My pic aren't as good as some of the others here, but not to shabby, and like Ivan, I resize and sharpen the bitmap then convert to jpg. Don't know about others but I find IrfanView works well.
