Well the challenge was out there, so I kicked HawkerTempest5s favourite kite into touch. The dear old MkXIV, and then I wanted to see how far up I could go... And yes I did have a deadstick landing So the new record 42979.7 feet

Had full up elevator trim set and stick right back. I was too low in the first place
