Last seconds of a NOTAR

Postby JW » Sun Nov 16, 2003 3:33 pm

Here is two shots of me trying to do a landing in a Robinson (NOTAR by this time...)
Managed to get away from the spot where the tailboom came of. I expected the cockpit to start rotating, which it didn't  ???. So much for flight accuracy.

Are there any tutorials on flying choppers around, or will this be a common site at EHAM until I get the hang of it?

Ouch!!  :o
I'll bet the KLM passengers grabbed their cameras! Check out HoverSafe Academy for all your chopper training.

You'll get better results if you turn up your realism settings especially torque ;)

:)

Must say, the chopper flight model is MUCH easier in 2004 compared to 2002

Very nice shots of a disaster!! LOL
I have tried the choppers, took me a while. I still can only fly the Robinson. I give her full throttle, up she goes then I try to keep her pitched down and she will start to go. I can fly her around but I have still yet made a soft landing!  ;)
Maybe Ozzy can tell you, he seems to be a fan of these flying coffins!! Keep practicing!!
