Encyclopedia Antonovica

Postby Maccers » Wed Nov 12, 2003 7:07 pm

Found these recently. The Antonov 124 heavy freighter :)
Image

Its got some nice animations, how about a big door and pilot door?
Image

Whats more its got a cargo ramp! :)
Image

But it gets better... Because you can do the same thing with the AN225 that was made by the same creator! :P (Different Download)
Image

Still want more? How about doing the same with the Buran on the top! ;D

This is no joke....the Buran/ Mryia combination is a fact of the Russian Space Agency history......

Without Buran on top, Mryia wouldn't exsist. The Soviets looked at NASA's flight testing of the Space Shuttle sitting ontop of a 747, and the Russians (Being as they are ::)) Got the Ukranians to build the 225 for the task. Its actually a 124 with a bigger wingspan, 2 extra engines and that funky tail 8) Its also unique in that Mryia is the only aircraft that can carry external payloads.
Anyways I uploaded too much to the threat so I've been advised to make another thread here, you'll like the first of the other shots

It is said to fly better compared to NASA's 747-200, tail is not in the turbulence of the roofrack load

Hey Maccers,
What buttons do you press to get the An 124's nose to do that?
