Space pal, that shot shows the under wing roundel and that is C Type. The B type roundels were used on upper wing surfaces. However, after Jan 1945 all (or most as some units did not bother) RAF/RCAF/RAAF etc. aircraft serving with second TAF had C or C1 type roundels applied to upper wing surfaces, so your repaint is probably correct. Whatever, it still looks fantastic!
Anyhow, "Y2" code letters were used during WW2 by 442 (Canadian) Squadron. I have no idea who flew your Mustang though!
