SpitFreaks! here is for ya

Postby Threadkiller » Mon Oct 13, 2003 1:05 pm

Hi guys, i was trying some of Graham's early warbirds on FS2000 today, i got some of them to work... i was chating w/a friend and i said "Gmme a minute, im gonna take a quick pic" i dove for the tower and then changed the view. [glb]THIS PIC WAS NOT PLANNED!!! IT JUST HAPPENED!!![/glb] of all the pics i've taken, this one is my favorite!! ;D i hope you like!

Image

btw, there is a 1024x768 bmp if u want this as wallpaper.... ;D

* the only thing i'd love to add this and the other birds i added from CFS2 is a smoke system but the airfile does not allow me, and the 1% spreadsheets are not included, i was wondering if any of u guys knew how to do that....

That is a nice looking Spitfire Space pal. Looks like a MkI in 19 Squadron markings (it's got a MkV oil cooler, but now I'm just being picky! ;))
Where did you find it and did you say it was working in CFS2?
Hagar is the man to ask about adding effects in CFS2 Space pal, but I'm not sure you can add a smoke system.

Actually the MkI had that arrangement of oil cooler on the bottom. So HA!

P.s. nice pic ;)

hahaha, well, as i said before, it sais that it is a MkIa but then again im not a spitfreak so i dunno.

the effect business is this. the model is a CFS2 spitfire. i imported it to FS2000 and it works, but i want to add smoke to it. the air file wont let me do it. is there a way for me to add a smoke system to the model?

Actually Woody pal, the oil cooler on a MkI/II is "D" shaped when looked at head on. On a MkV it is round. This is because the bigger Merlin 45/46 has more oil in it!
The cooler on Space Ace's plane is MkV shaped.

Oh, right now I see! This is how I would do it in 2K2. I just copy and past the relevent lines from another aircraft config into my CFS2 import and alter the text where I need to. To add a smoke system I copy and past the smoke system entry from a plane that has one and it works on the I key.
I've done this with every CFS2 plane I've imported into 2K2 so now they all show up under the correct manufacturer and have call signs and smoke systems just like propper 2K2 planes.

lol i know the theory behind the smokesystem on FS2002 but im using [glb]FS2000[/glb] and it s=does not use any effects and stuff nor refers to the cfg file for smoke, the smoke system is determined on the airfile, and u have no potion on where the possition of the smoke generator is, it looks rather sh!tty

Space, your Spit is a MkIa. I'm going to stick my neck out and say that it's a mod/repaint of a MkV, possibly one of the VB Planes models.
