BWIA in the French Polynesian

Postby Fly2e » Sun Jun 29, 2003 5:44 pm

Approach looked good as the flight attendants prepared the passengers for an emergency landing. The plane was alittle sluggish as I battled the controls. I know these things are built to fly with one engine..............but come on !!!

I stayed focused on my instruments while my copilot joked about the people in the sailboats below, "Look at them,..... no worries, a nice non-stressful Sunday afternoon cruise".
We both let out a chuckle!

As I tried to keep her in the glidescope, she started to drop quickly. I almost had to give her full throttle to keep her nose up. We were almost there. I did NOT want to go swimming!!

"West Indies flight 1634 this is the tower, you are clear to land. Be advised that there are emergency vehicles at the end of the runway. Please proceed to them upon landing"
"His approach looks good George, he'll be allright. He DID almost clip the mast on that sailboat!!
Another exciting Sunday afternoon here in the tower!!"

My Copilot yelled out, "Dave, You almost took out that sailboat"

Dave, I have to say that these pics are some of the best I have seen in this forum! beautiful composition, wonderful colour and amazingly sharp, I love the story too.

You are going to be hard pressed to produce a series of pics to beat these!

Well done,

Nick

either that or you have been changing the colours on your video card which is legitamate

not making accusations but I'm just wondering why the shots have a very red tint to them.
