Courtenay glacier (BC) 4 Stormy

Postby JW » Thu Sep 11, 2003 11:24 am

Hi, below 3 shots of what I suppose is Courtenay glacier in British Columbia. Requested by Stormy, my graphics card is a ATI 9700 Pro.
(Don't mind the FPS locked at 60 ;) I'm testing.
:o Pheeww! These clouds are killing my FPS!  :o )

Those are amazing shots! One question though...how did you get your fuel capacity level to show up on the top of the screen like that?
Is that new for FS2004?
P4 2.6 Ghz w/ 800Mhz FSB & HT Technology, XP Home, 512MB Dual Channel DDR SDRAM at 333 Mhz, 128MB GeForce FX 5200 Video Card, 80GB Ultra ATA/100 HD, Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 w/ Dolby Digital Sound Card.

Those are great shots, but did you notice on your second shot that the sky is breaking up into differant levels of blue, or is that my computer showing that only??? and the grey in the clouds is breaking up as well ?or do you have things turned off ?

I'm pretty sure that's just your computer, Wendy.  It doesn't seem to look that way to me.

And Cherokee, that fuel thing is new for ACOF, although why its there in the first place is beyond me.  Can't people read a gauge? ???

the color of the sky changes with the angle to the sun in FS2004

Hi Stormy, are you local?  I'm in Comox looking out the window at that glacier right now (cept for the clouds).  It's actually the Comox Glacier and is more impressive in real life.  Appearently it's hurtling toward me at a rate of 4 inches per year. :o

Thanks for the nice remarks, you guys.
I've been away indeed for 6 months, study, night shifts. It's 8) to be back, there was a lot of catching up to do...

Stormy, I use the drivers from ATI, the 3.7 catalist thingie, here: http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html
Also used the trick where to place the ATIRadeon 9500 - 9700 Pro for Win2k / XP in the 'fs9.cfg'.

I am about to try the omegacorner's drivers, but first some airtime!

Hi Sormy,
I found a 3 or 4 part BC mesh scenery at flightsim.com.  I think it's in the 2002 section.  It really makes the mountains look way better. :D
