Like a Hurricane...

Postby ATI_7500 » Sun Sep 14, 2003 6:32 am

well,i flew the hurricane for the first time and i gotta say, that she's a lovely plane, although she isn't perfect (too little ammunition, too weak machineguns). the setting is the finnish-russian war in 1941,the game is IL-2:Forgotten Battles. here we go:

the mission: interception of enemy bombers. some of my mates took care of the fighters ,while i and the rest of my flight attacked the bombers. i think this bomber has a very serious problem:

another bomber on it's way down....crippled,but still flying.

if i had a "pan-am"-name,i'd certainly be called "wing clipper": ;D
Image
during the turkey shoot, an I-16 suddenly came behind me . i was in some serious trouble. i could evade his attacks ,but when it was my turn,i just overshot him. damned!
Image
fortunately, some other hurris came and sent him to kingdom come. when i was on my way back up ,i could watch the last commie bomber going up in flames.

after this long fight, i went on my way home watching the finnish landscape passing by. will there be a reindeer-barbecue this evening? ;D

hope you enjoyed this lil' story!
