I was flying around and saw this guy above me, so I thought I'd fly over and say hello.

RIC_BARKER, what is your system specs? I just want to know because your anti-aliasing is sooo good. I turn on mine and it's like it's not even turned on. I know I have a bad card... a TNT2...  :-[ so I'm getting a new card so it runs nice and smooth with good anti-aliasing on my computer with everything maxed out. So could you please tell me your specs? Thanks.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

OK, the F-14 I used I got from here: http://www.simviation.com/files/1military/f14bv103.zip

Super_Game, my system specs are as follows:

P4 2.4Ghz (533mhz FSB)
512MB RAM pc2400
nVidia GeForce 4 4600 Ti 128MB

I have all the settings maxed out in FS2004, and I run my card with 4xAA and no ansiotropic filtering applied.

If you find setting your AA has little effect, try turning it off in the FS menu (settings) and set you card to 4xAA.

Run a search in the hardware forum here at SimV for Anti aliasing, you'll find alot of helpful things.

Other than that, get a program called RivaTuner. The interface is easy to understand, and makes tweaking much easier.

I also have recently changed over to nVidia's latest drivers (45.23) which seem to work very well with FS2004.

Regards,

Ric B.
