I can't believe it!

Postby EricK » Fri Aug 22, 2003 9:38 pm

I just bought fs2004. After hearing all the mixed reviews, I was unsure of what to expect.

Well, it is absolutely amazing. Double the eye candy at twice the framerates! I am running my same old junker, celeron 1.7, 384mg ddr ram, gforce mx440 and it is spectacular. Averaging 17-20 fps everywhere!

Here is a direct comparison. My home airport, Boundary Bay (zbb) near Vancouver, BC. One of the bussiest little GA airports in Canada. In FS2002, they paid almost no attention. Well have a look now. Same time, place, weather and settings. And remember twice the framerates in fs2004. Chalk me up as a believer!!!

WOW!  I haven't seen a comparison like that before!  It makes me want to go out and grab the nearest copy.

Must have . . . must have . . . must have . . .

What a difference......

Just wondering where did you buy your copy from in Vancouver?

Where would you suggest the best place to buy fs2004 is from?

;D ;D ;D  Yep, no doubt about it.  There is a big diff between the two Flight Sims and those two pics emphasize it.  I love it, myself

Thanks for all the replies, I did not mean to come across as bragging if anyone took it that way.(with regard to fps!)

I am just simply in shock at the improvements in the game and after reading all the reviews, I had very low expectations!

Microsoft has greatly improved the graphics motor within the game and even at low fps, it is so much smoother. With all sliders at max, 100% traffic at dawn at KLAX, I can still fly very smoothly with under 10 fps. In FS2002, it was a very different story.

Thanks again
Eric
