What is one knot in MPH?

Anyone know how to convert knots to mph real easily?

1 knot = 1.1507794 mile/hour (mph)
so basically round it down to 1 knot= 1.15 miles an hour and you should have no problems

1 Knot is 1Nm/hour
1Nm is 1,852 metres
60Nm is 111Km is the length of 1 degree on the equator
360 times 111Km, is the circumference of the earth

Simple math!

Knts/8 X 9 = MPH

Mph/9 X 8 = Knts

This is for every day use!!
Not for sience!!

Speed of sound = around 746 MPH depending upon the temperature and humidity...?
