B25

Postby Smoke2much » Tue Aug 05, 2003 3:20 am

This is that wonderful B25 in the Himalaya's. I took off from Katmandu at Midday.

1. Flying around, looking at the view and learning the quirks.

2. Gratuitous Mountain shot.

3. Full flaps, gear down, smallest runway on earth, almost immpossible to see from the air which resulted in a STEEP approach, that and the massive hills at each end.

4. Hoping that there is no crosswind! (There wasn't, it was a "no weather" situation.

5. Nicely lined up, landed on the centre line.  Very sweaty palms and hoping I can climb quickly enough at this altitude to not need a very big box to post myself home.

That is one nice looking plane Will pal. I've had it installed for ages but don't fly in nearly enough.

PS Hope you're still getting in some practice in the Spitfire!
