Actually the download is 51 Megs, but in its defense, you do get three different OS versions ......the file after unzipping and inserting into the main program, becomes in excess of 95 MEGS !
Its certainly getting up there........but worth it....
I got it already and flew it inverted, "dirty and clean", under the Golden Gate bridge a few days ago.....shots posted.....

Amazing pics...!
..especially the control panel...!
..but I cannot imagine anyone over here on a 56k, dial-up modem, downloading at 2.4 kbs, if we are very lucky, with a two hour cut-off period, ever being able to download 51 megs of data... :'(...!
So that plane is going to be forever a dream... ;)...!
(At least for me).... ::)...!

Cheers...

That looks a beauty & freeware too but what can possibly be in there to make it 51 Mb?

It would take me all day to download the file so I won't be trying it. Things have certainly changed. I can remember - not so long ago either -  when anything over 500 Kb was considered high quality. LOL

well for those on dial up he has graciously broken into 5 mb DLs. Then you hit the .exe and it puts them all back together again and installes. Not to rub it in but I have cable and it took 7 minutes for the whole thing. Maybe we could run a splitter, and.... lol j/k But it is a Very nice plane, and every gauge works and you need it to work. There is an IFR panel and a VFR and an IFR copilots panel also. All availabe from click points across the top of the panel. (Hidden). The  Sperry auto pilot, The throttles and supercharger high/low, the flaps and cowl vents and gear, the radios, and the electrical panel are all accessed by the hidden click points
By far my favorite plane.

LOL...LOL...LOL...!

Cheers mate... ;D...!

Really guys, this is as great as declared........you should take a look, just in case you don't mind the two week period for taking the one-bit-per-night download.....
Not to rub it in Paul, this guy (Slimcooper) who got it in 7 mins, really was gettin at the dial-up users.
Mine was nothing like that .........it took me over 8 mins ..... ::)

Lovely aircraft and wonderful flyer. The problem is that in the freeware version the whole control panel is blacked out after a few minutes flight. And 3 of the 5 guages in the view where the craft is transparent is blacked out as well.

I am not complaining. Just pointing this out so any 56Ker won't be too disappointed after going through all the trouble to download.

No missing gauges, I had tat one too, "Beautiful Mind" or something like that.  Made by same people that made the R4D

Copyright things aside....we all know about that....Why don't you guys use a download manager that allows you to resume your dl?

DAP is a good one.
