Spew airways new toy

Postby ozzy72 » Thu Jul 10, 2003 3:07 pm

Well I've got a shiny new toy (Fozzer is going to want one I know!), the Yak 52. So here are a couple of shots taken at my local airfield (Pogany, Hungarian for Pagan - pretty cool huh?), and a quick flight out over Pecs.
So pre-flight... wings attatched, big spinny thing working. Everything okay.

Checking all the instruments are okay, looking pretty :)

I can see my house from here (well actually I can't as the idiot builders haven't started it!)
Image
A quick double loop (this plane handles great!)
Image
Gratuitous engine shot for Fozzer (I'll need a recomendation on a sound package Foz)
Image
And parking up in the local park for a quick picnic, pop the canopy and put the barf-bags in the litter bin ;D

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Closest I can get for you Mark, is this Peoples Repub of China, 1969 Nanchang CJ6A from Edmonton Alberta, which was in for a visit to our local airpark, last July....when you say the one you grabbed is small, I can attest to it, if this one is any indication.....its quite small also........ 8)only shown for comparison ....

That one has different landing gear, and is NOT a Yak-52 copy...
It's a Yak-18A, the landing gear retracts completely in the fuselage, and tilts to the middle instead of forwards. The standard Yak-18 has a tricycle landing gear, and the wheels retract backwards
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur
