Lear Jetting in Maine

Postby Fly2e » Mon Jun 23, 2003 1:11 am

While President Bush entertained some foriegn freinds at his compound in Kennebunkport Maine, the guys from the secret service got a little time to themselves.

I was sent to pick them up after a weekend of fishing.
With eveybody ready to go, we got clearance from the tower.

The tower gave me warning of some pretty gusty winds! I acknowledged and all was clear for take off.

Winthin a few seconds of rotation, my lear jet was bounced around pretty hard! No problem.......I used to fly F-14's before this "cushy job" !

What a beautiful place Maine is. There are so many quaint harbors and miles of wilderness. I decided to take "The Boys" past a few of my favorite scenic views.
The light house off of Point Witherspoon.

We certainly made a scene when we buzzed past the bridge keeper. I think the Secret Service guys got alittle "freaked out" at this stunt! "From fishing to fly fishing" I yelled back to them with a chuckle!

As we leveled off and entered our flight path, my co pilot and I got a kick out of the guys,.....they had all past out. I guess a full weekend of fresh Maine air will do that to you!

Just a little reminder guys - never go by filenames . Different sites use different filenames. It's really the author's names  that count.

Never thought about that pete. I guess since i only recently started to use scenery, it will be worth the mention in the future....these designers really deserve the mention!
