I don't think so, unless he specifically builds a cfs2 version

The current version is CFS2 compatible, becasue it's assembled in FSDS1.x

Here is the proof :-)
These shots are from CFS2 with my terrain textures modifcation:

Yeeeeehaaaaaaa, I've been waiting on a good CFS2 compatible F/A-18 for ages. There was a patch to allow Dean's but it didn't handle like something intended to fly. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Milan, every new shot is just amazing.

I love the fact the burner is connected to RPM's instead of using the lights key or shift F4  ::)

Turn and burn
If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there

No, I never said that ...

And does really matter, which program was used for its modelling? :-)

I actually created the basic 3D model in AutoCAD and 3D Studio. Then assembled it first in Aircraft Factory 99 ( so this the simplified FS98/CFS1 version ) and later then  I assembled it in FS design Studio.

And I have already plans for assembling it in Gmax too, with some reworking and improvements.
But some effects cannot be simply create in Gmax/Makemdl, e.g. the vapour vortices or afterburner efefct controlled by engine RPM.

So the FSDS version has its own advantages.

Milan,

I hate to correct you, but I've got xml gauges on my Eurofighter which control afterburner display with throttle position (or engine rpm, whatever you prefer) and also wingtip vorticies which come on at certain g forces....

And it's a GMax model....

;D

It's OK, Dave :-)
If it's something useful, I'm glad I know about it.
But the afterburner control with throttle position could be done in Gmax itself, using keyframe animation, couldn't?
And the wingtip vortices are also independent effect, I was thinking rather about the second vapour effect, which isn't a FS effect, but textured polygons displayed under certain conditions - and these conditions aren't available in Gmax/makemdl ( I heard somewhere, that these conditions could be used in Gmax models, but it seems it's  a kind of "black magic" for me ... :-)).
If the xml gauge you mentioned, is for public, could you send me it, so I can look at it?  -  mlk@volny.cz
