With knowing of the events of Jimmy Dolittle's raid on Japan, I wanted to find out for myself if you really can get a B-25 off the deck of a carrier, so while I was in the area doing bridge inspections, I thought I would give it a try.  What I found was, that you really do need a good breeze down the deck and a full deck run to avoid the stall off the end, into the water.........once airborne, its time to head west........

The actual fact though Mark, is that the landing was so much more stressful than the takeoff......I won't give any further hints of how, as nobody told me, but let me say this....the pics weren't doctored and it is entirely possible without a set of wires to stop you too ! ;D  8)
