Santa Monica Tour II

Postby x » Fri Jun 06, 2003 2:22 pm

Nice early moring flight along the coast,
OPPS! that's a strange place for a board
walk, missed it though. ;D

Image

Well! here's the marina, look at all those people!
Better go under it, don't want to scare anyone. ::)

Image

Here we go! :o

Image

Darn it!!! Prop Strike!!! Killed the engines!!!

Image

Get some hight, try to restart. Well that didn't
work. ???

Image

Look around here, well, half the gauges don't  work,
and I wish the other half didn't :P
No Hyd. pressure= no landing gear!
275', 175knts. I can go about TWO MILES!
Look about for a landing spot, nice beach
Check equipment, Fire extinguisher, whats that
tag say? "Use before Aug. 1945", Oh well,
Half a Dr. Pepper, one Peanutbutter and jelly
sandwich, two smokes and one Free airplane
wash coupon!!! May need that! ;)

Image

Soft and easy 8)

Image

I think I'll just sit here and eat my sandwich, and
pretend I planned it this way, besides Ozzy's going
to try this stupid stunt in a 747 later. He should be
landing along here some where shortly.
See what's on the radio,

Don't you just hate those damn prop strikes ?.....means you are landing.....no option at all..........well at least you could walk away from that smoking hulk that won't fly till you get some repairs done......... ::)

Smoke is great !

Like your story, especially,
Look about for a landing spot, nice beach
Check equipment, Fire extinguisher, whats that
tag say? "Use before Aug. 1945", Oh well,
Half a Dr. Pepper, one Peanutbutter and jelly
sandwich, two smokes and one Free airplane

As for waiting for Ozzy....you'll probably find him under one of those trees laying in a hammock sipping on a  fruity drink!!  ;)

PS: Did the fire extinguisher work?  ;D

Have you tried installing the Terramesh scenery for San Francisco and Los Angeles...?
Covers the coastal area from above Santa Rosa down to L.A.
Realistic mountain scenery, etc,  for the area...!
