A Cangaroo in Canada ??

Postby ATI_7500 » Thu Mar 27, 2003 8:50 am

Hi everybody!

I found that awesome GAF Nomad on a site that begins with "a" and ends up with "vsim". i took it on a flight from montreal intl, canada to anchorage, alaska. there were some problems during the flight (almost ran out of fuel, extreme crosswinds, VERY difficult approaches and landings), but in the end i landed safely on stevens intl. okay, let's stop talking and let's show some pics. most of them speak for themselves.

the front of the nomad. take a look at that nice map behind the pilot.

just take a look at the smoke trail and you can see the extreme crosswind. also take a look at those impressive exhaust effects!

gps-view of the extreme winds. i REALLY had to fly that way.

who knows ,which mountain that is,gets a beer. ;)

touchdown!

and finally unloading the "cangaroo" after the arrival in alaska...

but the BEST thing about that model is,that it doesn't eat any extra fps, although it is very detailed!

nice shots! what a crosswind...

Adi, for locking the frame rates, go to settings-display-frame rates (slider at the top i think).

my north american geoglraph isn't great, but isn't Montreal to Anchorage a HELL!! of a long flight at that kind of speed?
