Love the look of the P-40! Also, is that Matt Hall's plane by the Mustang?

Is this a good time to point out that that isn't a true Tr.9 (Type 509) variant? ;D ;D ;D
Lovely pics BTW ;)

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

I know that Ozzy. I just thought it would easier to say it's a TR.9 than a single seater that was modified.

Thanks Chaps. ;)

Which one do you mean Adam?

You couldn't say that, because strictly speaking all the 2 seat Spitfires (including the single factory built Tr.VIII) were converted from single seaters. The non factory ones were converted in the field, so must have been single seaters first!

The irony these days, is that alongside the "genuine" Tr.9s, you have those which historically weren't Tr.9s, and then also Tr.9s that have been restored in their original single seat configuration (such as ML417, formerly of The Fighter Collection, now in the USA, single seat, clipped wings n'all). ;D

That little yellow and blue aerobatic plane on the right side of the Mustang in the 2nd picture. It looks like Matt Halls airshow plane...man I miss watching him race in Red Bull!

It might be.

It took 5 & a half hours to get to the Air Show because they ran out of parking.

We had to be diverted to another parking area & it was on the other side of the air base.

That plane flew while we were over there so I couldn't hear the loudspeaker talking about who was flying.
